ABOUT JESSE

Get to know me.

My name is Jesse, and welcome to my creative space.

I love combining my passion for the outdoors with my eye for design to create stunning digital experiences. What began as a creative outlet—designing websites for fun and sharing my adventures online—evolved into something more: a place to showcase my creativity, connect with like-minded people, and build purposeful, visually impactful designs.

You can think of me like a fly fishing guide—but for outdoor web design. A good guide knows the water, the conditions, and exactly which flies to use. I bring that same expertise to every project: staying on top of the latest trends, tailoring every detail to each unique brand and adventure, and knowing exactly how to hook site visitors.

I enjoy diving into unique challenges and goals of outdoor brands, recognizing that a website is more than just a marketing tool—it’s the trailhead that welcomes people into your world. It’s about making & leaving a memorable first impression. It’s about telling your story authentically. And it’s about sparking connections with people.

My focus is on building clean, intuitive, mobile-friendly designs that engage with audiences and grow with brands & business. Whether it’s building an online community, showcasing unforgettable adventures, or launching new services, my goal is to craft websites that are both beautiful and built to perform.

My journey.

I grew up in Terrace Bay, a small community on the north shore of Lake Superior in Northwestern Ontario. Hunting and fishing weren’t just hobbies—they were a way of life. My family’s history runs deep in the outdoors: my grandpa opened Falls Archery Center in Wisconsin in 1974, and my dad and grandpa guided spring black bear hunts through the 80s and 90s. Fall was always the most anticipated season in our home, marked by moose and whitetail hunts.

After college, I packed up $2,000, took a leap of faith, and moved across the country to Vancouver, British Columbia. It was there I discovered centerpin, spey, and fly fishing, spending nearly every spare moment on the rivers chasing salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon. Fishing opened doors to unforgettable adventures for me—including heli-fishing, TV features, and even hosting a youth fly fishing camp. It also led me to my fiancé, Brandon, who now shares in this passion as we continue our adventures together in central Alberta.

In 2017, I designed my first website to document my fly fishing journeys. That project sparked a new passion for me. From there, I stepped into the industry as a Project Manager at a design & development agency, learning the craft inside out. Nights were spent experimenting with design tools, refining my skills, and imagining ways to merge my love for the outdoors with the creativity of web design.

This space is the result of that journey—a creative outlet where I can share my designs, my story, and my love for the outdoors.

I’m excited to continue this journey and share it with you.

Tight lines + stay wild.
